TAHOE MIX 20/20
I would like to introduce you to our new member communication system. The main purpose of the system, named TAHOE MIX 20/20, is to help strengthen communications between you and the Regional Council.
Several other Councils have been using MIX 20/20 for years and they, as well as our Council, are impressed with its ability to quickly get important information out to the membership.
During Hurricane Katrina, MIX 20/20 was used to provide critical updates to members affected by the disaster.
We’ll be setting up a toll-free number for you to call into the MIX 20/20 System at any time of the day or night and update your Out Of Work status, check your Out Of Work Date and review your skill codes. You can also call MIX 20/20 to keep updated on union news announcements.
Eventually, the MIX 20/20 System will be used to automate the job dispatching process. The system is specifically designed to consistently follow our Out Of Work Rules and Procedures. It can make several calls at one time to fill jobs as quickly as possible. If you miss a job call, you will be able to call into the MIX 20/20 System and accept the job if there are still positions unfilled.
I want to personally let you know that we are fully committed to communicate important information to you as effectively as possible and to provide meaningful opportunities to get your feedback on key issues.
You will be receiving information by mail which you should review CAREFULLY and TIMELY. The completed information MUST be received and information entered into the system before you can be dispatched by MIX.
I appreciate your time and look forward to keeping you updated on our progress with the MIX 20/20 System implementation and any important issues.
